Gadura Real Estate, LLC and Nitin Gadura are fully committed to equal housing opportunity for every person. This page sets out our complete fair housing policy, your rights under federal, state, and local law, and how to take action if you believe those rights have been violated.
We are pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.
The Federal Fair Housing Act makes it unlawful to discriminate in the sale, rental, or financing of housing, or in the provision of brokerage services, based on any of the following protected characteristics:
Violations of the Federal Fair Housing Act carry civil penalties of up to $21,663 for a first violation, up to $54,157 for a second violation within 5 years, and up to $107,819 for subsequent violations within 7 years. Additional compensatory and punitive damages may be awarded in civil litigation.
The New York State Human Rights Law incorporates all federal fair housing protections and adds the following protected classes in housing transactions:
Under New York law, it is an unlawful discriminatory practice for any owner, lessee, sublessee, assignee, or managing agent, or other person, firm, or corporation having the right to sell, rent, or lease a housing accommodation, to refuse to sell, rent, lease, approve the sale, rental, or lease or otherwise deny or withhold any housing accommodation to or from any person because of any of the above characteristics.
The New York City Human Rights Law provides the strongest protections of any jurisdiction in the United States. In addition to all state and federal protections, the NYC Human Rights Law adds the following protected classes in housing:
The NYC Human Rights Law must be interpreted broadly to accomplish its remedial purposes. Gadura Real Estate, LLC fully complies with all NYC Human Rights Law protections in every transaction within the five boroughs.
HUD's advertising guidelines require that all real estate advertising and marketing materials comply with the Fair Housing Act. Gadura Real Estate, LLC adheres to the following standards in all advertising:
REALTORS® shall not deny equal professional services to any person for reasons of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity. REALTORS® shall not be parties to any plan or agreement to discriminate against a person or persons on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
REALTORS® shall be honest and truthful in their real estate communications and shall present a true picture in their advertising, marketing, and other representations. REALTORS® shall ensure that their status as real estate professionals is readily apparent in their advertising, marketing, and other representations, and that the recipients of all real estate communications are, or have been, notified that those communications are from a real estate professional.
Nitin Gadura is committed to upholding both the letter and spirit of the NAR Code of Ethics in every client interaction, advertisement, and representation.
New York Real Property Law § 442-h prohibits any real estate broker or salesperson from inducing or attempting to induce any person to sell or rent any residential property by making representations regarding the entry or prospective entry into any neighborhood, area, or building of any person or persons of any particular race, color, religion, national origin, or other protected class.
Gadura Real Estate, LLC strictly prohibits any form of blockbusting, panic selling, or representations suggesting that property values will change due to the demographic composition of any neighborhood. Our property valuations are based solely on objective market data: comparable sales, property condition, location amenities, transit access, and market conditions.
Any communications from this firm regarding property values are based exclusively on verifiable market data and never on the race, color, national origin, religion, or any other protected characteristic of current or prospective residents of any area.
Gadura Real Estate, LLC offers multilingual real estate services and cultural competency as a professional service offering. Our community pages exist to communicate that we can serve clients in their preferred language and with cultural familiarity — not to suggest that persons of any background should live in any particular neighborhood.
We provide equal professional service to all persons regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military status, citizenship or immigration status, lawful source of income, credit history, partnership status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
Our neighborhood guides describe areas based on objective factors including: transit access, school ratings, property types available, price ranges, proximity to parks and amenities, commute times, and local businesses. We do not describe neighborhoods by their racial, ethnic, or national origin composition, and we do not suggest that any neighborhood is more or less suitable for any person based on any protected characteristic.
Steering — the practice of directing buyers or renters toward or away from neighborhoods based on their protected characteristics — is illegal under the Fair Housing Act and is strictly prohibited in our practice. All property recommendations made by Nitin Gadura are based solely on the client’s stated preferences for property type, size, price range, commute requirements, school preferences, and amenity preferences.
We are committed to making our services accessible to all persons, including those with disabilities. If you require accommodations to access our services or this website, please contact us at (917) 705-0132.

I became a real estate agent because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to own a home — a place of stability, safety, and pride. The right to equal housing opportunity is not just a legal obligation; it is a moral imperative.
I serve every client with the same level of professionalism, dedication, and expertise regardless of their race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, immigration status, income source, or any other characteristic. That is my personal promise.
My community pages and cultural language services exist for one reason: to make quality real estate services more accessible to people who may have felt underserved by the industry. They are a service offering, not a steering tool. I help clients find the right home based on their preferences, their budget, and their needs — never based on assumptions about where they “belong”.
If you ever feel that any aspect of our service has fallen short of this commitment, I ask you to contact me directly at (917) 705-0132. And if you believe you have experienced fair housing discrimination anywhere in the real estate process, please use the resources above. You have rights, and you deserve to have them upheld.
Contact Nitin Gadura directly at (917) 705-0132 or via our contact form. We welcome inquiries about our fair housing practices and are committed to full transparency.
